Barry Town 1 Aberystwyth 0

FULL TIME

Aberystwyth’s unbeaten run since the JD Cymru Premier restart seemed set to continue but they were beaten by a late goal by Nathaniel Jarvis.

The ball was driven across the box from the right on 87 minutes, and Jarvis tucked in from six yards.

There was still time for Aber to try to grab something from the game and they came within a whisker of doing so when substitute Geoff Kellaway struck the post two minutes later.

It was a reasonable performance by the Black and Greens in a game of few chances, but Aber stay in 10th position after bottom of the table Cefn Druids were beaten by Bala 3-1 and Flint Town lost 2-0 at Caernarfon.

Both sides coped pretty well with the extremely windy conditions at Jenner Park and the visitors looked good to get at least a point as they piled on the pressure in the early exchanges of the second half but Jarvis’ strike proved decisive.
