A LAST-GASP winner from Richie Evans denied Bow Street a point at Ty Brith as hosts Carno took all the spoils in their MMP Mid Wales League division one midweek clash on Tuesday evening.
Both sides went into the match in confident mood after back-to-back wins, and it was the Greens who had had opened the scoring through Josh Matthews’ goal.
The Magpies hit back before the break to equalise through Garmon Nutting, and despite being reduced to 10 men, they battled on in the second half, only to be denied in the very last minute by Evans.
Joshua Hartrick meanwhile hammered home a late equaliser for Llanidloes Town as they maintained pole position with a 2-2 home draw with Llandrindod Wells.
The unbeaten Daffs had opened the scoring after just a minute when a long throw from Gareth Owen was flicked on by Hartrick, for Connor Bird to volley home.
The Spa men hit back with Obi Davies scoring either side of the interval, and they defended their lead until Hartrick equalised from a goalmouth scramble.
Jamie Evans scored twice as Four Crosses bounced back with a 4-3 win over Caersws at Foxen Manor, with Harry Davies and Callum Williams also netting.
The Bluebirds had stayed in touch through goals from Mark Edmondson, with a brace, and Craig Harris, before they slipped to their second league defeat.
Builth Wells kept pace at the top of the division one table as two goals from Jack Hammond and a Tom Bethell penalty sealed a 3-0 home win over Montgomery.
Joe Haycock meanwhile bagged five goals as Berriew hammered Hay St Mary’s 7-1, with Charlie Humphreys and Neil Thomas also getting onto the scoresheet. Greg Preece netted a reply late on.
Two goals from Ricky Ritchfield helped Welshpool to secure a 4-3 win over visiting Kerry, with Henry Watkins and Ian Probert finding the back of the net. Kerry replied through brothers Luke Mumford, who scored a brace, and Matt Mumford.
