LLANIDLOES Town's FAW Amateur Trophy campaign came to an emphatic end as high-flying Trearddur Bay ran out 8-1 winners.

The Daffs faced a daunting test against the Lock Stock Ardal North West leaders, who took control early on. Ashley Ainsworth struck in the 11th minute before doubling the advantage seven minutes later.

Joe Todd added a third before the break and Callum Parry continued his prolific form to send Bay into half-time with a commanding 4-0 lead.

The second half remained quiet until the closing stages, when substitute Sebastian Samuel changed the game. He opened his account in the 78th minute as the hosts extended their lead to five.

Alex Jones netted a late consolation for Llanidloes, but Bay finished strongly.

Samuel struck twice more to complete a hat-trick from the bench, while Iolo Hughes also got on the scoresheet during a devastating spell of stoppage-time finishing.
