LLANYSTUMDWY succumbed to a goal in each half as they slipped to a 2-0 defeat at home to newcomers Glantraeth in the Gwynedd League.

In midweek, Darren Parry had netted a late equaliser for Llanystumdwy away at Talysarn Celts, who had opened the scoring through Jac Jones.

In midweek, early and late goals from Nefyn’s Guto Sion Roberts on 10 minutes and Josh Dorking, from the penalty spot on 90, were not enough to prevent a 3-2 defeat at Bontnewydd as goals from Dion Davies on 44, Ian Pleming on 73 and Cai Penny Williams on 83 earned the home side the points.
Last weekend Gwalchmai snatched a 2-1 win over Talysarn Celts on their own pitch, thanks to Craig Evans’ decider on 83 minutes, after the same player had also scored on 14 minutes.
Talysarn rallied in the second spell and had regained parity at one stage through Glyn Tomos on 54 minutes.
Llangoed notched up a 1-0 win against Waunfawr, courtesy of an own-goal by the visitors’ Aled Evans 10 minutes into the second half.
In midweek, goals from Sion Hogan on 18 and 74 minutes had earned Menai Bridge Tigers a 2-1 away win at Bro Goronwy, who had equalised through Andy Williams after 37 minutes.
Gwalchmai’s Gethin Davies struck on 65 minutes, but they were pegged back with five minutes to go when Glantraeth’s Deon Williams equalised to secure the home side a point.
