BOW STREET’s hopes of achieving a top three finish in the Spar Mid Wales League division one ended with a 4-3 defeat at champions Llanrhaeadr last weekend.
The Magpies had fought back well from being three goals down at the interval to equalise at 3-3, with goals by Ifan Burrell, Stefano Antoniazzi and Garmon Nutting.
Llanrhaeadr had taken charge with first half goals from Tom Evans, Barry Bando and Khyam Wyton, but it needed a late winner from Chris Aitken to secure victory with just two minutes left.
Bow Street completed their league campaign with a 2-0 defeat at Llandrindod Wells on Monday evening, with Shaun Nicholls and Ashley Jones scoring, but all attention has now shifted the Magpies' League Cup final against Welshpool at Carno on Saturday (ko 5pm).
Aberaeron’s hopes of a top five finish were dented in a 1-1 draw with Carno, but they will hope to end their campaign on a positive note against Churchstoke at Park Avenue tonight (Wednesday).

Llansantffraid Village booked their place in the ER Jenkins Division Two Cup Final as goals from Bryn Jones, Jake Harris and Nathan Prodger, with a brace, sealed a 4-2 extra time win over Abermule.
A depleted Mule were down to 10 men for 40 minutes due to injury, but scored through Charlie Humphreys and Dave Anthony.
Llansantffraid will face Montgomery, who were 4-1 winners in their semi-final at Hay St Marys. That final kicks of at Carno on Saturday at 2pm.
