BOW STREET moved into a lofty top three position in the MMP Mid Wales League division one as they roared to a convincing 4-0 win over Montgomery Town at Cae Piod last weekend.

Lee Crumpler, Llyr Davies, Josh Crowl and Llion Jenkins found the net to cap a convincing performance from the Magpies, who were two goals up at the interval. They could move to within three points of second-placed Builth Wells when they entertain Carno this Saturday.

Llanidloes Town maintained their lead at the top of the table with a 5-2 win at Kerry, who had taken the lead through their prolific top scorer Luke Mumford.

Gregg Brown rounded the keeper to equalise and a Jack Biggs cross was deflected into the net for an own goal, to put the Daffs 2-1 up at the interval.

Gareth Owen continued his rich run of goal scoring form with the third goal, but Matt Mumford pulled one back, before a Connor Bird penalty and Joshua Hartrick sealed the win.

Second-placed Builth Wells stayed within 13 points of the Daffs, with a game in hand, as they notched a 3-0 home win over Llansantffraid Village.

Builth had keeper Chris Jones sent off after 20 minutes, but Christian Jones netted for the 10 men after half an hour, and Richie Powell slotted home to make it 2-0 at the interval.The Saints halved the deficit, but Greg Preece raced clear to chip the keeper for their crucial third goal to secure the points.

Will Thomas and Martyn Ziemann both scored twice as Welshpool Town notched a 5-2 win over visitors Aberaeron, who made the 140-mile round trip with just 11 fit players.

Tai Jones also got on the scoresheet for the hosts, with Gareth Severs and Ianto ap Dafydd netting for the visitors. Joe Haycock scored twice as Berriew got back to form with a dominant 4-0 win at Four Crosses, with Andy Evans and Steffan Rogers also scoring.

Jamie Hyne and Peter Rees both netted hat-tricks as Caersws eased to a 7-0 success against Tywyn/Bryncrug, with Steven Cheng finding the net, whilst Carno settled for a goalless draw with Radnor Valley.
