BOW Street Reserves kicked-off their new campaign in the Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth and District League division one with a solid 3-0 home win over Aberdyfi on Wednesday evening.

With a good mix of youth and experience, the Magpies secured the three points courtesy of goals from Shaun Evans, converting from the penalty spot, Owen Evans and Sion Manley.Bow Street Reserves then had to settle for a share of the spoils on Saturday as Neil Davies scored in a 1-1 draw with Padarn United, who had earned a point through Billy Williams’ goal.In midweek, goals from Jason Davies, Paul James and Rich Williams had earned Padarn a solid 3-1 win over Talybont, who netted their reply through a penalty by Osian Williams.Talybont bounced back with a 4-1 win over Bont at the weekend, with Barry Southgate netting a brace, along with goals from Osian Thomas and Michael Fitzpatrick, with an excellent strike. Aled Parry replied for Bont.Trevor Jenkins had scored twice as Bont kicked-off their season on Wednesday evening with a 2-2 draw against Penrhyncoch Reserves, with James Fox and Jack Barron replying.Daniel Evans scored twice as Tregaron Turfs kicked-off the season with a 5-2 win over Llanilar in midweek, after it was all square at 1-1 at half-time.Rhyn Garner, Rhodri Jones and an own goal completed the tally for the Turfs, whilst the visitors had netted through Guto Roberts and Ryan Hopkins, scoring from the penalty spot.Tregaron made it two wins from two matches on Saturday as two goals from Chris Wilkins sealed a 5-2 win at Aberdyfi.
