BOW STREET Reserves took the spoils in a thrilling 4-3 win over Padarn United to keep their pressure on the frontrunners in the Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth and District League division one.
A Shaun Jones brace, a James Scarrott wonder goal and a cool finish from Nick Smith sealed their win, to move within three points of Bont at the top.
Padarn battled all the way, with some great battles all over the pitch, and the prolific Paul James scored a hat-trick for the visiting team.
Talybont registered an emphatic 14-2 away win at Machynlleth Reserves to consolidate second spot in the table, with Niall Coleridge, Robbie Southgate and Ben Hall scoring hat-tricks.
Mike South scored twice and Darren Thomas, Kieron Owen and Chris Jones also got onto a packed scoresheet as Talybont moved within two points of the leaders.
Gytis Pivnickas meanwhile scored a well-taken hat-trick as Aberystwyth University Seconds notched a superb 5-0 win over Tregaron.
George Taylor and James Stuart also scored for the students, who made it three league wins from six games.
Aberystwyth University Thirds made it five wins from six games in division two as they notched a solid 5-0 triumph away at Llanon.
Levi Challoner and Simon Fisher both scored twice for the Aber students, with Matthew Roberts also scoring.
Talybont Reserves went eight points clear at the top of the table with a 5-1 win at Padarn Reserves, with Chris Wylde and Rob Makaruk both scoring twice, along with goals from Luke Davies and Anthony Vasquez.

Emlyn continued to dominate, but they were stung when Lee Jones scored from a free kick, and the same player then made it 2-1 with another free-kick.With the first half almost over, Almond netted his second of the game, to set up an intriguing second period.In worsening weather, Emlyn scored next when Almond completed his hat-trick as he headed in from close range.Bont came back strongly and keeper Ian Hamilton was called into action to deny them, but with just 10 minutes to go Dan Davies crossed for Almond to nod the ball home and seal the 4-2 win.A 10-man Aberporth team enjoyed a narrow 2-1 win over Aberdyfi, with their under-strength team pulling together to secure their cup progress.The Airmen went ahead when Daniel Davies slipped past two defenders and chipped the keeper with his left foot.Jonny Kinsella then scored the second goal five minutes after the break when his strike flew into the bottom corner.• Lampeter Town made progress in the Costcutter League Cup as goals by Gethin Hunter, Scott Davies, Arwel Thomas and Luke Lovell sealed a 4-2 win over Llanboidy, with Declan Harries and Chris Bowen netting replies.
