Llanidloes Town manager Hugh Clarke admits it’s all to play for after seeing his side’s lead at the top of the MMP Mid Wales League division one trimmed to two points by rivals Llanfair United.

While the Daffs were without any action, Llanfair capitalised with a crucial 2-0 win away against Aberaeron, to step up the pressure with two games in hand.

Early goals from Matt Bumford and Josh Astley were enough to secure the three points for Llanfair, who are now two points clear of Caersws in third place.

“That win probably makes them favourites, although they have still got Berriew and Caersws to play, so there can still be a few twists and turns,” said Clarke.

“It’s still all to play for, but we just have to concentrate on winning our last two league games, and see what happens.”

Llani’s remaining two league games are both away - the first being at Aberaeron on Friday, 19 April, before completing their league campaign away against Tywyn Bryncrug on Saturday, 27 April.

A Joey Price hat-trick meanwhile earned Radnor Valley a 4-1 win over Carno.

Some great play between Geraint Lloyd and Jack Williams had found Joey Price to open the scoring for Radnor with an easy tap in, but Carno equalised when a free-kick by Richie Evans had found Cal Breeze to head home for the visitors.

Radnor restored their lead when a cross by Jack Williams was fumbled by keeper Chris Brown and Joey Price tapped home.

A good ball in from Callum Davies dropped to Joey Price to complete his hat-trick with a powerful strike into the bottom corner, and Price ran through on goal and squared to Elliot Morris to complete the scoring from just a yard out.

Elsewhere Bow Street’s Tom Wyn scored a last-gasp goal as they triumphed 1-0 at Llansantffraid Village, in a match that saw both sides reduced to 10 men.

Llandrindod Wells notched a 3-0 home win over Tywyn/Bryncrug, with goals from Kieran Mccarley, Samed de Groot and an own goal, whilst Builth Wells beat visitors Kerry 3-1 with goals from Danny Ives, Rich Powell and an own goal.

Meanwhile Caersws hit back to secure their place in the MMP Mid Wales League Cup final with a 2-1 win over Berriew.

Second goals from Craig Harris and Ryan Davies ended the 10-match unbeaten run of Berriew, who had led at half-time through Charlie Humphreys’ goal.
