MACHYNLLETH continued their revival in the Spar Mid Wales League division one as they won 3-2 at in-form Bow Street to complete back-to-back league wins.

Boosted by their first league win of the season 10 days ago against Berriew, a determined Mach took their chances to move three points clear of bottom club Borth United on Wednesday.

Goals from Sion Jones, who netted a crucial brace, and Drew Page sealed welcome points against the Magpies, who had taken a 2-1 lead with goals by Mark Gornall and Neil Evans.

Bow Street will be looking to bounce back this weekend when they entertain Berriew in the Spar Mid Wales League Cup quarter-finals.

Paul Griffiths scored a hat-trick for Llanfair United as they condemned third-from-bottom Kerry to a 4-2 defeat, with Ben Jones also scoring twice to move them up to fourth position.

Luke Mumford and Francis Barr hit back for Kerry, who slipped to their 13th league defeat.

Leaders Welshpool Town hit back from being four goals down to salvage a 4-4 at home to Knighton Town.

Second half goals from Will Thomas, with a brace, Ian Probert and Ian Macleod earned a point, after first half goals from Connor Bird, with a brace, Gareth Mansell and a 35 yarder from Sammy Williams for Knighton.

On Monday evening, goals from Berriew’s Jake Mann, Rhys Stephens, Josh Morgan and Steff Rogers, with a last minute winner, sealed a 4-3 win over Llanfair United.

The visitors had taken the lead three times through a Paul Griffiths penalty, after Andy Hughes was brought down, a Gethin Stephens header, following a Ben Jones free kick, and Phil Hughes, following a Paul Griffiths free kick out wide.

Elsewhere a Mike Humphreys injury time strike earned Abermule a last-gasp point in their 1-1 draw at Presteigne in Spar Mid Wales League Division Two.
