PWLLHELI and Nefyn United both claimed vital victories on Saturday to keep the pressure on the early front-runners in the Lock Stock Ardal League North West.

Nefyn extended their winning streak to four matches with a hard-earned 2-0 success at Mynydd Isa. The Penwaig took the lead 10 minutes before half-time when Zak Pike found the net to give the visitors a deserved advantage.

Nefyn continued to threaten after the break and doubled their lead on 62 minutes. Steffan Toplis notched his fifth league goal of the season after combining well with 17-year-old Deio Jones.

Pwllheli bounced back to winning ways in style with an impressive 4-1 victory away to NFA.

The visitors made a flying start, taking the lead after just three minutes through Hari Lambe. Lambe then turned provider seven minutes later, setting up Dafydd Roberts to double the advantage.

Lambe was at it again on the quarter-hour mark, scoring his second goal of the afternoon after being picked out by Morgan Davies as Pwllheli took firm control of the contest.

Jamie Whitehouse reduced the deficit for the hosts early in the second half, but any hopes of a comeback were quickly extinguished. Osian Jones wrapped up the victory with Pwllheli's fourth goal 20 minutes from time.

Elsewhere, goals from Tomos Hughes, Noa Hughes and Callum Parry earned leaders Trearddur Bay a 3-0 win at Kinmel Bay, while Llanrwst United recorded a convincing 4-1 victory over Penmaenmawr Phoenix at Gwydir Park.
