Aberystwyth’s Rhys Norrington-Davies is looking forward to a “massive game” on Tuesday night as Wales get set to play their second World Cup qualifier, against the Czech Republic in Cardiff.

The former Ysgol Penglais pupil played a key part in securing a clean sheet on Saturday night, as Wales secured their first win in 11 matches against Mexico last night.

Kieffer Moore scored as the team won 1-0 in an international friendly at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Rhys said: “Very pleased with the team’s performance and of course the win.

“I thought our application was spot on. We were defensively solid throughout and very happy with the clean sheet.

“Morale in the squad is very high. We have a massive game on Tuesday night against the Czech Republic.

“It’s important that we go out to win to put us in a good position moving forward.”
