PENPARCAU overcame a very spirited performance from Llanilar to win the Len and Julia Newman Memorial Trophy final 2-0 to complete an historic treble at Park Avenue on Monday evening.
With the Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth and District League championship title and Emrys Morgan Cup already in the bag, Penparcau were looking to sign off their season on a real high.
Llanilar, however, were looking to complete a double of their own, and the Cambrian Tyres League Cup winners made the division one champions battle all the way for their win.
Goals from Penparcau skipper Andrew Gittins and Mark Gornall proved enough to take the silverware on the night, to complete a very memorable season for the Min-y-Ddol men.
Having beaten Costcutter Ceredigion League champions St Dogmaels in the Emrys Morgan Cup Final last month, they finished eight points ahead of runners-up Tregaron in their title race.
With just one league defeat all season, and after scoring over 100 goals in division one, Penparcau now look set to step back up into the MMP Mid Wales League division two this summer.
Meanwhile Cambrian Tyres Aberystwyth and District League division two champions Penrhyncoch Thirds were beaten 2-0 by Aberdyfi in the Second Division Trophy final at Park Avenue.
A Liam Fox header and a Tim Holt strike secured the win to cap a pleasing campaign for the Meirionnydd men, who also finished as runners-up in division two this season.
