PENPARCAU made it six wins from six at the top of the MMP Mid Wales League division two as they recorded an emphatic 12-1 success over a nine-man Abermule last weekend.
The visitors had travelled with a depleted squad, and they were promptly hammered by the free-scoring league leaders.
Ryan Edwards led the way with five goals for the Min-y-ddol men, with Michael Gornall netting a hat-trick, Anthony Evans a brace, with Dion Davies and an own goal completing the rout. Lyndon Clayton scored an early equaliser for Mule, whose side battled right to the end.
Borth United were pegged back as they shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw with Forden United at sunny Uppingham Fields.
After just two minutes Borth’s Clive Morgan powered home a header from a Bryn McGilligan Oliver corner kick, and they increased their lead on the half hour when Bryn McGilligan Oliver’s cross shot from the left ended with the ball in the net.
As the interval neared, Forden halved the deficit when a pin-point cross resulted in Ross Harris scoring with a close in volley, and they equalised on the hour as Jake O’Donnell broke through to slot home.
Chris Proctor scored the winner as Waterloo Rovers won 1-0 at Knighton Town, whilst two goals from Jac Petrie and a Charlie Jellett effort earned Machynlleth a 3-0 win over Dyffryn Banw on Friday.
Matty Marston scored a hat-trick as Churchstoke won 6-0 away at Presteigne on Thursday. Shane Morgan, Greg Pryce and Sean Wright completed the scoring.
