Tregaron moved up to third place as 6-1 winners against Aberystwyth University Reserves, with goals by Llyr Davies, with a hat-trick, Rhun Garner, William Williams and Dylan Davies. Pablo de Torres netted for the students, whose keeper was sent off on 50 minutes.

In the Cambrian Tyres League Cup, Talybont came from two goals down to win 5-2 away at Bont, to book a semi final tie against Llanilar.

Bont had raced into a two goal lead through goals from Trevor Jenkins and Charlie Parr, but Talybont crucially reduced the arrears just before half-time when Osian Thomas scored.

Talybont’s Clint Middleton equalised, before good strikes by Osian Thomas and Harry Whalley put them in charge. Darren Davies sealed victory with a fifth towards the end.

Aberdyfi were 2-0 winners over Dolgellau Reserves in the Second Division Trophy.

Dyfi’s win was based on a solid defensive effort, with the points sealed through a Richard Winchurch goal, and a free kick by Tim Holt.

Murray Pugh and Stefan Huxtable both scored twice as Llanilar Reserves beat visitors Borth Reserves 4-1, and Padarn United Reserves settled for a 1-1 draw away at Llanon.

Costcutter Ceredigion League

UNBEATEN St Dogmaels made it 14 wins on the bounce in the Costcutter Ceredigion League as they strolled to a 5-0 success over Felinfach - and victory this weekend over second-placed Crannog will surely sew up the title.

Louis Harding opened the scoring after just five minutes, after Pete Almond’s shot was parried, and skipper Jason Williams tapped home from a corner 10 minutes into the second half.

Adam Williams curled a free kick into the bottom corner to make it 3-0, and Jack Thomas netted a fourth goal after a back heel from Harding had put him through on goal. Substitute Mike Diggle ran on to a ball from Rhys Jones to round the keeper to make the score 5-0.

Lampeter Town meanwhile won 4-1 away at Aberaeron Reserves, with goals from Jason Jones, an own goal, skipper Marc Evans and Jason Jones. Lamin Manjang grabbed a late reply.
