Penrhyncoch again showed their fighting spirit to earn a valuable point in their quest for Huws Gray Alliance safety as Jonathan Evans' free kick secured a 1-1 draw at Guilsfield.
It was another plucky display from the Roosters who showed true grit to overcome the loss of keeper Leigh Jenkins and striker Carl Lamb through injury.
With stand-in keeper Cledan Davies making some terrific saves, they stayed in the hunt despite going behind to Adam Jenkins' 54th minutes penalty, and could have won it at the end had Evans' strike not rattled the post.
The point, which followed their first win in 15 games when defeating Holyhead Hotspur the week before, was enough to lift the Roosters up to third from bottom.
However, they are now five points from safety after Llanrhaeadr - who they visit in another key game on Saturday - ran out 1-0 winners against fellow strugglers Denbigh Town to boost their own survival prospects
Boss Gari Lewis was delighted by his side's spirit, but was left with mixed feelings at the end of the game after coming away with a point.
"There were mixed emotions," he said. "There was a 10 minute spell when Cledan Davies made three brilliant saves to keep us in the game, but we finished strongly and could have won it at the end.
"It was another big performance from the boys who gave everything. Little things are not quite going for us, but it was a good point against a good side.
"The sickener was Llanrhaeadr winning. They have had some huge defeats this season, but have now won eight games, and deserve a lot of credit
"It's going to be a tough game on Saturday as they are a strong, physical side on a big heavy pitch."
Certainly missing is striker Lamb who suffered a dislocated elbow while Jenkins is struggling with a lower leg injury, which flared up following a first half collision.
Striker Steff Davies, who made his presence felt after coming on as a substitute at Guilsfield, is set to start this weekend.
Lewis, meanwhile, was full of praise for rightback Antonio Corbisiero who turned out for the Roosters having the night before helped to manage Aberystwyth Town in their win at Llanelli.
Penrhyn headed to Guilsfield in good heart after their vital victory against Holyhead the week before, and were looking to complete a double having defeated their Mid Wales rivals 3-0 at Cae Baker earlier in the season.
They started well, with Jack Rimmer getting in some crosses, and went close when Evans broke free but his low shot was kept out by a superb save from home stopper Mike Jones.
After having their chances, the Roosters suffered a blow when Jenkins suffered a recurrence of his ongoing leg injury following a collision, which was to see the keeper taken off at half time.
But Cledan Davies proved a more than capable deputy as he pulled off a string of superb saves, only to be beaten on 54 minutes when Adam Jenkins converted a penalty for handball in the box.
That was Lamb's last involvement in the game, with the striker going off moments later with a dislocated elbow, to be replaced by Steff Davies.
But the visitors responded well in testing conditions, and their efforts brought a reward 10 minutes from time when Evans fired a superb free kick low into the bottom corner after Davies had been fouled on the edge of the box.
Evans, having earlier been denied by keeper Jones, almost won it at the death as he struck the foot of post after working space and Tom Evans - who produced another excellent display for Penrhyn - drove the rebound inches over.
