PWLLHELI have been boosted by new signings Ifan Gwilym and Gwyn Jones, both from Nefyn United and Cedri Lloyd, ex-Llanystumdwy, but they succumbed to a home defeat against Llanrug United last weekend.

A lacklustre first half saw Neil Thomas for Llanberis taking a David Noel Williams assist to test Jiri Kober in the home goal, whilst Pwllheli’s Aaron Jones hit the bar from 15 yards out.

The deadlock was broken a couple of minutes from half time when Jonathan Sadler prodded home for Llanberis - and two more goals were conceded by the hosts early in the second period.

Sadler bundled the ball into the net, following a right-wing cross to the back post on 48 minutes and the unmarked Thomas made it 3-0 on 50.

On 90 minutes, Rhodri Scott burst through on a fine solo run to beat Llanrug keeper Dylan Roberts, but the visitors had the final say with another Thomas goal in stoppage time.
