TYWYN/Bryncrug were undone by a late winner as Rees Morris snatched a 2-1 win for Radnor Valley in the MMP Mid Wales League division one - despite the visitors having central defender Matt Croose sent off for dissent early in the second half.
After a goalless opening period, Radnor’s Callum Matthews came off the bench and immediately made an impact by scoring with a low strike under the keeper.
Tywyn fought back strongly, playing some long balls in deep behind the visiting defence - and their pressure paid off when Dave Jenkins netted their equaliser.
With five minutes to go, however, youngster Rees Morris attacked down the right wing, beat the full back and struck a vicious shot from a tight angle to secure the points for the visitors.
Bow Street picked up three more points on the road as they notched a solid 2-0 win in a close-fought battle at Kerry. Chances were at a premium at Dolforgan Park, with both defences on top for long periods, but the Magpies struck twice in the latter stages of the game to secure the three points, with goals by Guto Roberts and Garmon Nutting.
Carno, whose manager Chris Davies recently stepped down, were beaten 3-0 away against Berriew, as goals from Xavier Matisse, Niall Thomas and Sam Chesworth secured the hosts the three points.
Will Thomas scored a hat-trick as Welshpool moved within seven points of leaders Llanidloes with an emphatic 6-1 at Llansantffraid. Ricky Litchfield, with a brace, and James Clewlow also netted to complete a disappointing day for Graham Evans in his first game as Saints’ manager.
