PENRHYNCOCH’S second round Nathaniel MG Cup tie against The New Saints will be played this Saturday after all.
The tie at Cae Baker was moved to Sunday as The New Saints take on Viktoria Plze? at the Cardiff City Stadium this Thursday, 5 August (7.45pm) in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
A Penrhyncoch club statement said: “The club can confirm that after discussions with the FAW and The New Saints, our Nathaniel MG Cup tie has been moved back to Saturday.
“Penrhyncoch FC are happy to confirm that our cup tie against The New Saints will be played on the originally agreed date of Saturday, 7 August with a 2.30pm kick-off, instead of a newly agreed date of Sunday, 8 August at 7.45pm.
“The club are happy with the Football Association of Wales’ decision and we would also like to thank The New Saints for moving the tie back to the original date.
“We would also like to wish our upcoming opponents all the best in their important UEFA Europa Conference League match against Viktoria Plzen.
“The club are glad this case has come to a close and we look forward to welcoming Anthony Limbrick and his side to Cae Baker on Saturday.
“The club will not comment any further on this matter.”
