TYWYN/BRYNCRUG bowed out of the FAW Trophy at the first hurdle as visitors Llansantffraid Village took their chances to secure their place in the next round with a 2-0 away win.

Goals from Bailee Austin and Nathan Prodger sealed it, with visiting keeper Rhys Jones also making a penalty save at a crucial part of the game.

Goals by Drew Page, Paul Jones, Jos Bell and a last minute winner from Sion Jones earned Machynlleth a 4-3 extra-time win over Dolgellau, who scored through David Edwards, Jasper Jones and Dafydd Meirion Jones.

Bow Street meanwhile gave themselves a much-needed boost as they notched a last-gasp 1-0 win away at Llandrindod Wells, with Tom Wyn netting a last minute winning goal.

Caersws fired eight second half goals as they eased into the next round with an 9-0 win over Brecon Northcote. Mark Edmondson scored five goals, Aled Jones netted twice, with further goals from Elliot Jones, from the penalty spot, and Josh Jones.

Second half goals from Andy Evans and Richie Evans saw Carno hit back to register a 2-1 win over Hay St Mary’s, who had taken an interval lead through Matty Tong’s strike.

Four Crosses registered a 3-2 win at Presteigne, with goals coming from Josh Michael Thomas, Elliott Howes and a late penalty by Jake Edwards. Tom Lewis and Tom Crichton replied.

Kieran Mulloch and Ed Marston netted as Churchstoke secured a 2-1 home win over Montgomery Town, who scored through Tom Evans.

Two second half goals by Josh Astley saw Llanfair through with a 2-0 win over Rhayader Town, whilst Charlie Humphreys netted a hat-trick as Berriew marched on with a solid 3-1 home win against Kerry, who scored their goals through Matt Mumford.

Llanidloes Town had kept their flag flying in the FAW Trophy with a 3-2 home passage against Waterloo Rovers in midweek, courtesy of goals from Connor Bird, Llion Jenkins and Gregg Brown, with Andrew Gwilt responding with a brace for Rovers.
