PWLLHELI moved up a couple of places in the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance’s division one to 11th position, with a valuable 2-1 win over Trearddur Bay.

Shane Jones netted for Barmouth on 22 minutes from the penalty spot, but that was in-between a pair of goals for Greenfield by Sam Jones, on 18 and 29 minutes.
When referee Richard Burge blew the half-time whistle, it was still 2-1 when a mass brawl erupted, involving numerous players from both sides and, as a consequence, Greenfield’s Keith Ainsworth was shown a red card for violent conduct.
Ten minutes into the second period, Barmouth’s Steve Bratt was also dismissed for a second yellow card caution, and Greenfield sealed their win with the third goal on 65 minutes from Tom Carney.
Conwy Borough had strengthened their grip on the division’s top spot by achieving an 8-1 runaway win over mid-table visitors Mynydd Llandygai, after having piled up six goals before the interval.
Six scorers were involved in the Morfa team’s spree, led by Cory Williams with a double on 11 and 17 minutes and similarly Tom Creamer on 15 and 25 minutes.
They were also joined on the Borough score-sheet by Brad Hogan, Gerwyn Jones, Corrig McGonigle and Lee Craven.
Conwy are now seven points clear of second-placed Llangefni Town, whose own title aspirations were badly damaged in a shock 1-0 home defeat by the so-called basement strugglers Nantlle Vale.
The Penygroes side, who had managed only one win previously in 15 outings and are several points adrift of the next club in the relegation zone, took the spoils through Alex Steel’s winner just a minute from the end at the Talwrn Road ground.
Elsewhere Llandudno Albion beat Llandyrnog United 2-0, with netted efforts from Connor Davies on 20 minutes and Dave Maddox on 75, while Llanrwst United and Llanberis remained deadlocked in a goalless draw at Gwydyr Park.
Meanwhile Llanrug United showed their determination to hold on to the Mawddach Cup which they won last season, by progressing to the third round this time, as 4-0 winners over Amlwch Town.
The Eithin Duon hosts registered goals from Jonathan Sadler on 24 minutes, James Phillips on 27, Dylan Owen on 43 from a penalty and Llion Jones on 52.
