RYAN Wade has become the second former Airbus UK player to switch from Bangor City to Bala Town without playing a game for the Nantporth outfit.

Wade, 28, follows in the footsteps of defender Lee Owens, who signed for the Lakesiders last week.

The 28-year-old wingman scored 21 goals from 84 (+18) Welsh Premier appearances for the Wingmakers.

Formerly with Skelmersdale United, Vauxhall Motors, Burscough, Runcorn Town, Prescot Cables and Northwich Victoria, he signed for Airbus in June 2012.

In addition to his Welsh Premier League appearances, he also made two full and four substitute appearances in the Europa League.Meanwhile midfielder Ryan Edwards also penned a contract with the Lakesiders last week, with the 22 year-old having been released from The New Saints in May.Hailing from Glan Conwy, Edwards began at Connah’s Quay before going full-time at TNS in January 2014. He joined Cefn Druids on loan for a season before returning to the Saints, making 14 (+12) starts and scoring twice.Goalkeeper Alex Lynch, who hails from Holyhead, had also joined the Lakesiders from Wycombe Wanderers prior to the Newtown match.

Starting out at Amlwch Town he was picked up by Peterborough United, where he had a two year scholarship and one year professional contract.

After spending loan spells at Histon, Stamford and Brackley Town, he signed for Wycombe in 2014.

Lynch, who has represented Wales at Under 17s and 19s level, and made four appearances for The Chairboys, playing in the League Two Playoff Semi Final against Plymouth Argyle and against Aston Villa in the FA Cup Fourth Round.

The 21 year-old shot-stopper will provide competition to first choice Bala Town goalkeeper Ashley Morris, and will be wearing the number 23 shirt.

Meanwhile defender Tom Quinn, a product of the Crewe Alexandra youth academy, also signed for the Lakesiders this week.

Released from Crewe earlier this summer, the 21 year-old has featured in all of Bala’s pre-season games and will be eager to impress this season.

Earlier in the week, Caton also confirmed that striker Phil Marsh had also signed for the Lakesiders.
