EXCITEMENT is building ahead of the 2027 International Six Days Enduro (ISDE), which will return to Wales for the first time since 1983.

Based at the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells, the world-renowned event will attract more than 500 riders from across the globe for six days of gruelling competition.

Local clubs will play a key role in staging the event, with each day’s route organised by clubs in their respective areas. Day five, on September 17, is set to be a joint venture between the Welsh Trail Riders Association (WTRA) and Lampeter-based Dyfed Dirt Bike Club (DDBC).

Plans include a challenging route through the same region used in the 1983 event, featuring special tests around Cwm Owen before crossing the Epynt ranges and entering Crychan Forest, where riders could tackle up to 50 miles of demanding terrain.

With organisers determined to create a memorable test, anticipation continues to grow ahead of the September 13-18 showcase.
