Aberystwyth’s Harry Franklin has been named JD Cymru Premier player of the month for January after a run of top performances for the Seasiders.
The midfielder doubled his tally for the campaign in January by striking a brace in Aberystwyth Town’s 5-0 win over Cefn Druids with two well-taken goals.
The victory helped the Seasiders move out of the relegation zone.
The New Saints’ Anthony Limbrick won the manager of the month award. After his team secured back-to-back wins against Connah’s Quay Nomads and Caernarfon Town, scoring seven goals in the process.
The victories saw the Saints finish January 16 points clear at the top of the table.
JD Cymru North
Manager of the month - Johnny Haseldin, Holywell Town
Johnny Haseldin would have been extremely satisfied with Holywell Town’s return in January as they started the new year with two wins - keeping two clean sheets - against second-placed Llandudno and Guilsfield, who are currently third. The Wellmen finished the month in seventh and stretched their unbeaten run in the league to nine games.
Player of the month - James Kirby, Colwyn Bay
James Kirby kept up his goalscoring form in January as he added another two goals to his tally in Colwyn Bay’s win over Llanidloes Town, while he also provided an assist for Sam Jones’ early opener. The brace saw the striker take his tally for the campaign to 12.
