IT became six out of six for Aberystwyth in Division Two West on Saturday as they defeated Fishguard 33-19 at Plascrug, earning a sixth bonus point in the process.
The newly promoted north Pembrokeshire side have made a very creditable entry into this division winning three of their first five games, but could not overcome the Ceredigion side’s forward power, even though they did show their try scoring capabilities at the end.
The Rugby World Cup Final means that next Saturday is a rest day in the League, but Aberystwyth then face a stern November as their opponents all occupy the upper half of the table, starting with a visit to Llanybydder on November 7th.
Meanwhile Aberystwyth Youth will be at home this Saturday in a League encounter against Fishguard, kicking off at 1.30pm.
The day will also see the Aberystwyth senior players engaged in a match against their former players as another curtain raiser for the big televised match. It promises to be a feast of rugby on the Plascrug field and inside the Clubhouse.
