Aberystwyth street attack victim named

A MAN found unconscious following a street attack in Aberystwyth has been named as university student Ifan Owens.

Three men have been arrested after Mr Owens was left with life-threatening injuries following an incident on High Street in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Mr Owens, from Cardiff, was first taken to Bronglais Hospital but was then transferred to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.

Dyfed-Powys Police said three men, aged 25, 23 and 20, were being held on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
