A MOTORIST has been taken to hospital after a crash on the A487 saw the road closed at Llanrhystud for about an hour-and-a-half on Friday morning.

The road closure saw traffic problems with diversions around minor roads with delays caused to traffic heading in both directions.

Police said the two-car crash happened shortly before 7am.

A spokesperson said: "Police attended a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision which occurred just before 7am this morning (Friday, 26 April) on the A487 just outside Llanrhystud.

"One male was taken to hospital.

"The road was closed with diversions in place, and reopened just after 8.30am."
