A TYWYN student has appeared before magistrates accused of sending explicit images and videos of himself to two schoolgirls.
Thomas Stephen Reynolds, 20, (pictured) of 4 Bishton Close, a student at Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor in Dolgellau, pleaded not guilty to four allegations.
He has denied that between 1 November 2015 and 10 December 2015, being a person aged 18 or over, for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification, he intentionally attempted to cause a child whom he did not reasonably believe to be aged 16 or over, to look at an image of himself engaging in a sexual activity, contrary to the Criminal Attempts Act of 1981.
He has also denied on the same dates sending an image of himself committing a sex act to a girl under the age of 16 on social media app Snapchat.
Reynolds has also denied sending an image of his private parts to a girl under the age of 16 between the same dates and has denied sending a video of himself committing a sex act to a girl under the age of 16.
The trial is expected to last over five hours and special measures are to be put in place.
The magistrates accepted jurisdiction for the trial after representations from Iestyn Davies, defence solicitor, and Rhian Jones, crown prosecutor at Dolgellau Magistrates Court.
The trial will be held at Caernarfon Magistrates Court on 12 May.
