ABERYSTWYTH actress Elen Rhys has landed herself a part in the second series of the highly acclaimed BBC One drama, Ordinary Lies.

The former Ysgol Penweddig pupil from Blaenplwyf has featured in many successful films and TV productions, including World War Z, Panic Button, Torchwood, Hinterland and, more recently, Silent Witness.

Having acted alongside the likes of Nicholas Cage, Elen shouldn’t be too daunted by the prospect of working with the stellar cast of Ordinary Lies, which includes Angela Griffin (Inspector Lewis, Waterloo Road), Rebekah Staton (Raised By Wolves, Pulling), Matt Di Angelo (Hustle, EastEnders), Kimberley Nixon (Fresh Meat, Hebburn), Con O’Neill (Happy Valley, Cucumber) and Joel Fry (Game Of Thrones, Plebs).

The first series of the multi-layered drama, which premiered on BBC One last year, received critical acclaim and achieved an average consolidated audience of over six million.
