Madam,
I thought it would be useful for people in the area to be aware that there are additional services now running on the T2 route, provided by the government to increase the frequency of these.
Unfortunately the whole thing has happened so quickly that advertisement of these has been woeful, and they are currently running empty for the most part!
There are buses leaving Aberystwyth for the north from Stand 4 at 9am and noon; and the previous 1.55pm service now leaves at 2pm, and has started at Morrisons.
Some of the new ones do indeed go down to Morrisons as well as the X28 services, and there are a few tweaks to times during the evening to cover the traffic problems experienced regularly on the route, up in the Arfon area in particular.
These services now leave at 7pm and 9pm, around 15 minutes later than they did in the past.
Printed timetables are available to pick up on these new buses, though we can perhaps expect a few further tweaks in the coming weeks, as things settle down.
In general it is good news for bus users. For some reason that has never been clear to me, the A487 to the north of Aberystwyth has had nowhere near as many buses on it as the same road to the south of the town. There are plenty of us living up there along its route to be sure!
Yours etc, Joyce Porter, Talybont, Aberystwyth.
