THE mother of April Jones will speak at a special service in Machynlleth in memory of missing people across Wales as part of a fundraising effort.
The service, at St Peter’s Church in Machynlleth on 10 December, has been organised by charity Missing People to raise funds for a helpline to run between Christmas and New Year.
Coral Jones, who is an ambassador for the national Child Rescue Alert system which Missing People helped establish, will give a poignant speech.
She said: “Anyone who is missing a loved one knows that their absence is felt every single day. But at Christmas, it’s so much harder to be without them. It’s a time when families come together to celebrate, so missing someone at Christmas can feel impossible."
