Visitors to Barmouth are being warned not to let their dogs foul the streets.

Barmouth Town Council has issued a post on social media, stating that dog fouling could cost you £100.

“Gwynedd Council enforcement officers are using CCTV to tackle dog fouling in Barmouth, and £100 Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs)are being issued to local and visitors alike,” the post explains.

“Please help keep Barmouth clean - pick up the poo and save yourself £100.”

The council would like anyone who witnesses dog fouling to report it via email ([email protected]) or send a private message to their Facebook page.

“Six FPNs have been sent out so far to visitors and locals,” they added.

“Let's work together to keep Barmouth clean.”
