A ball held by Canolfan Padarn at the Feathers Hotel, Aberaeron, has raised £720 for the centre.

Nearly 100 guests went along to support the evening and all made a special effort for the black tie and evening dress theme.

Aberystwyth band The Smoking Guns entertained guests and Event Letters from Aberporth, were used to illuminate the word ‘care’ in line with Ceredigion Social Services’ motto of ‘taking care to make a difference’.

Canolfan Padarn is a centre for adults with learning disabilities in Aberystwyth, and aspires to provide opportunities for those with disabilities that their mainstream counterparts take for granted.

The centre formed a women’s group in March 2013 to give female service users the chance to get together and explore fashion, make-up, healthy eating ideas, exercise and relationships.
