A TRIO of Aberaeron walkers achieved their goal of completing the entire 60-mile stretch of the Ceredigion Coast Path in under 24 hours.

Chris Evans, Mike Williams and Ian Boland, set off north from Cardigan on Saturday, 8 July and completed the whole march in 22 hours and 45 minutes.

Their walk was in aid of three charities – Motor Neurone Disease, Prostate Cancer and the RNLI – and they collected £2,796 which was split equally between the three.

A further £424 was collected from late donations for New Quay RNLI and they presented a cheque for this amount to Roger Couch, lifeboat operations manager, when they visited the lifeboat station last week.
