Tai Ceredigion staff have delivered donations to three local food banks in the county.

Staff members who are part of the Health and Wellbeing group decided to support the local centres at Lampeter, Cardigan and Llandysul following recent requests for additional donations.

Julia Lim, a committee member at Lampeter Food Bank, said: “Unfortunately, food banks have now become a commonplace necessity in our communities. The families and individuals referred depend on support from charities and volunteers like ours to ensure there is a hot meal on the table.

“We are well supported with donations from local people but are always grateful to companies like Tai Ceredigion for donating larger quantities. This delivery of food is a significant boost for our supplies.”

Kate Curran, director of corporate services at Tai Ceredigion, said: “Food banks in Ceredigion continue to help many families who find themselves in need. No one should be unable to afford food.

"It’s great that we as a team can make decisions like this to support the communities we live in.”
