Ceredigion MP Ben Lake has announced the winner of his 2018 Christmas card competition.

He presented the first prize to Buddug Jones, 9, at Pontrhydfendigaid primary school on Friday, 7 December.

The theme of this year’s competition was Ceredigion and Buddug’s design captures and combines both the unique magic of the county and the spirit of Christmas.

Following the prize-giving presentation at the school, Mr Lake spent time answering a series of questions from the pupils regarding his work as MP for Ceredigion.

Mr Lake said: “It was wonderful to receive over 500 colourful and creative entries and it was extremely difficult to pick one winner, but Buddug’s design really stood out.

“I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part in my Christmas card competition this year, and wish them all a very merry Christmas!”

Mr Lake’s Christmas card also contains a poem written by Megan Lewis, Trisant YFC the winner of the chair and the crown at this year’s YFC National Eisteddfod.
