A WELL-KNOWN Cardigan firm will close by the end of the month with the loss of around a dozen jobs.

Castle Heating and Gas Services, based at Unit 5 Parc Tanygroes, has been forced to dissolve over management issues affecting cashflow.

Owner and director Gethin Gould-Davies, who has worked in the trade for nearly two decades, said it was a “difficult decision” to make and that “cashflow” problems were the reason behind the closure of the business.

The company, which was formed in 2003, employs 11 people and 41-year-old Mr Gould-Davies said his “priority” was to make sure his employees had work to go to.

“It was an extremely difficult decision to make and obviously I was most worried for the boys who work here,” Mr Gould-Davies from Newcastle Emlyn said.

“We have eight boys who have got jobs to go to, and three are planning on travelling.

“We will be closing soon. It’s a shame, but sadly cashflow issues make it impossible for us to continue.

“We’ve done alright and been around a while.”
