Eleven jobs have been created as high street bakery Greggs confirmed its new shop will open on Glanyrafon Industrial Estate on Friday.

The new store will be at Unit 2, 1 Parc Melin.

It will become the second Greggs store in the Aberystwyth area as the company already has a store on Great Darkgate Street.

The industrial estate shop will have customer seating and will be open between 7am and 5pm from Monday to Saturday, and between 9am and 4pm on Sundays.

Joe Bray, the shop manager, said: “We can’t wait to open our doors and hear what the local community thinks.”

Roisin Currie, the retail and people director for Greggs, added: “We’re delighted to be able to invest in Aberystwyth, bringing new jobs to the area and providing both new and existing customers with a modern and convenient new shop.”
