AN Aberystwyth businesswoman and town councillor has been announced as the winner of a Digital Women to Watch award.

The Digital Women Awards celebrates women from their community and beyond who are doing incredible work in digital and business.

The awards are open to any and all women working in digital industries and entrepreneurship, and entrants go through a rigorous judging process by their esteemed panel.

Kerry Ferguson, who runs a local website design and digital marketing company Gwe Cambrian Web with her partner Emlyn, was announced as the winner of Digital Woman for Good at the 2022 Digital Women Awards, and announced as one of 50 Digital Women to Watch.

Kerry, who is also deputy mayor of Aberystwyth Town Council, said: “It was an absolute shock to win the Digital Woman for Good award this year, and to also have been listed on the Top 50 Digital Women to Watch list!

“I honestly was not expecting it, and was quite emotional with this award.

“For me, I just love doing what I do in the community and utilising my skills online to help with that, so to be awarded the Digital Woman for Good award was like the cherry on the cake I have to say. It means a lot to be recognised for this.”
