A DOLGELLAU restaurant has been recognised as one of the best in the country.

Tafarn y Gader Tapas, Bistro and Bar was awarded north Wales’ Casual Dining Restaurant of the Year at the recent Welsh Hospitality Awards held in Cardiff.

The Spanish restaurant, which has been awarded best Mediterranean restaurant in the country for the last three years at the Food Award Wales, was pleased with the accolade.

“So proud to have such a great team,” said a representative.

“What a way to celebrate another successful year.”

At the same event Tremadog’s Y Sgwar was also recognised as the best restaurant in Wales.
