ONE of north Wales’ biggest engineering companies is seeking apprentices ahead of another big build.

Students of subjects including quantity surveying, project management and payroll, will be welcome to a recruitment event, at Jones Bros Civil Engineering, Ruthin, on Thursday, 27 April.

The firm, who were responsible for building the Tywyn sea defences and the Porthmadog bypass, is also opening its doors to would-be civil engineers, as well as recruits for its popular plant operator, plant fitter and general construction operator apprenticeships. It is also now introducing Higher Apprenticeships.

Students will also be able to sign up for industrial placements, summer placements and the firm’s annual work experience week, to be held for 14 to 17-year-olds, after schools break up in July.

Visitors will get the chance to meet some of Jones Bros’ regional and project managers and head office team, to find out about the different career paths available.

The event, from 4pm until 7pm at Jones Bros’ head office in Ty Glyn, Ruthin, will also include talks about the contractor’s award-winning apprenticeship programme and opportunities for school leavers and graduates.
