STAFF from the Lampeter branch of an estate agency have walked away with two awards at the firm’s annual ‘Oscars’ event.
Eryl Jenkins, manager of the Lampeter office of John Francis, fought off competition from 20 other teams from across the network to win the Auction Branch of the Year Award for the second year running and the Most Improved Branch Award.
Mr Jenkins was presented with the award for Auction Branch of the Year by Andrew Bowen, auction director for Countrywide.
Richard Emanuel, director of John Francis, said: “This year’s awards are a fantastic success for Eryl and his team, showing that their hard work over the last 12 months has paid off yet again. In 2016, we held five rounds of property auctions, achieving more than £13.4m in sales, which would not have been anywhere near as successful without contributions from the Lampeter branch and other teams across south-west Wales.
“Despite a politically turbulent 12 months for the UK, the property market continues to thrive as shown through our 2016 end-of-year results, which are up on 2015’s results.
“We’re delighted to report successive annual improvements across the business, even in uncertain times, which is only a testament to the hard work and commitment of teams like our Lampeter branch.”
