Bakery chain Greggs has confirmed that it will be opening a second shop in Aberystwyth, at the town’s Glanyrafon Industrial Estate, creating 11 jobs.

Greggs already has a shop in Great Darkgate Street but it emerged the company is working with Aberystwyth Jobcentre to find staff for the new shop which will open later this year.

While the company did not give an official opening date, a spokesperson said there would be 11 jobs created at the new shop.

They said: “The shop is planned to open later in the year at the Glanyrafon Industrial Estate and there will be 11 jobs created. Those interested in applying can visit www.greggsfamily.co.uk";

A spokesperson for the Jobcentre said open days would be held at the centre to help recruitment efforts.

They said: “Greggs have approached the Jobcentre for support with recruitment for their new store.

“Vacancies will be advertised online, with open days planned at the Jobcentre.”
