AN Aberystwyth charity has spent a day at a bank in town to help raise vital funds and awareness of their work.
Hospice at Home Aberystwyth Volunteering, known as HAHAV, provides volunteers to help people with terminal illness and their carers.
Representatives of the charity were invited to spend Friday, 14 December at Aberystwyth’s TSB branch as part of Local Charities Day to give HAHAV the chance to raise awareness and money.
Local Charities Day was launched to give charities the chance to show the vital work they do and with TSB supporting the event across the UK, the bank wanted to give HAHAV, which is the local TSB branch’s local charity partner, the chance to show the work the charity does and attract support.
HAHAV and TSB partnered in October 2016, with the bank donating more than £2,700 to the charity since then.
Karen Dolan, the manager of the Aberystwyth TSB branch, said: “I’m delighted to welcome our local charity partner HAHAV to spend the day with us at our branch here in Aberystwyth.
“Local charities play a vital role in supporting the daily lives of thousands of people across the UK and they need our support.
“TSB is all about people helping people and through our partnership I’ve learnt so much about the incredible work that HAHAV does to do exactly that in our local community.
“Local Charities Day is a great opportunity for us to say thank you to charities and help spread the word, so more of us can hear about the fantastic work they do, and find out more about how we can support them.”
