A GWYNEDD housing association has scooped a top industry award.

Cartrefi Cymunedol Gwynedd (CCG) was named ‘Best Client’ at the NHMF awards ceremony that were held last Tuesday at Birmingham.

The National Housing Maintenance Forum is a well-respected organisation that promotes best practice in housing Maintenance in the UK. CCG beat other, long-established, housing organisations throughout the UK to win this prestigious award, in a hotly contested category.

The award recognises the good work that has been achieved through CCG’s ambitious £136m improvement programme.

Ian Atkinson, director of Assets and Infrastructure at CCG said: “This award is a testament to how far we have come as an organisation. Over the last six years CCG has pumped more than £136 million into the economy to deliver our Welsh Housing Quality Standard (WHQS) improvement programme.

“We provide employment, training and new business opportunities as well as maximising community regeneration, creating a legacy for our tenants and the wider economy and communities we serve."
