BF Engineering Ltd, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of recycling machinery, welcomed Ceredigion MP Ben Lake to its base in Lampeter recently, where it shared progress on its ongoing investment in the manufacturing facility and commitment to the local economy.

Founded in 2011, BF Engineering designs and manufactures its own top of the range machinery, and employs tens of local workers and apprentices.

In 2014, the company took the leap to start designing and manufacturing the recycling machinery themselves. As a result, BF Engineering offers a full range of services to its clients from the design and technical drawing processes, to the building and installing of the machinery.

As well as the tour, Mr Lake also had the opportunity to learn more about BF Engineering’s commitment to supporting the local area. This includes offering several apprenticeship placements to students from Coleg Sir Gâr.

Speaking about his visit, Mr Lake said: “Having one of the UK’s largest recycling machinery manufacturers based in Lampeter is truly remarkable and I commend Alan Foxall and the whole team of staff at BF Engineering for their hard work, commitment and determination over the past 10 years.

“BF Engineering is such an important company to the county’s economy, employing so many local workers. Their apprenticeship schemes also give many young local people fantastic career opportunities.”

Alan Foxall, director of BF Engineering added: “It’s fantastic to see the recognition that our company is receiving for its commitment to sustainability and the local economy here in Lampeter.

“We’re delighted to have the opportunity to show MP Ben Lake what we are achieving here. We want to ensure a stable and continued path of progression for our company, so that we can continue to provide jobs and apprenticeship placement for local people.”
