A PAIR of Llandysul businesses have come up with an innovative plan to coincide with National Breakfast week.
Eleri Retallick, WeightWatchers Leader in Ceredigion, has joined forces with Gary the Butcher to try and ensure people who have a healthy cooked breakfast can still lose weight.
Eleri, who has been running sessions in the town since September, says research has shown people who eat breakfast are less likely to be overweight compared with those who go without.
“If you skip breakfast, you’re more likely to reach for high sugar and fatty snacks mid-morning,” she said.
“So we looked at all the elements and decided if we could come up with a lower fat sausage then this would complement weight-loss.
“I met with Gary The Butcher in Llandysul and we have worked on a special new recipe for chicken sausages which are extra lean so people can still have a healthy cooked breakfast and lose weight."
