Owain Doull, Welsh Olympic gold medallist, and Becky James, former Olympic double-silver-medallist have launched a multi-million pound development at a holiday park in Gwynedd.
The £13.5 million development at Haven’s Hafan y Môr Holiday Park in Pwllheli, marks the single largest investment in the park’s history.
The opening event saw the Welsh cycling heroes peddle their way through the brand-new Dragon Lakes Adventure Village.
Commenting on the new developments, Becky James said: “The Dragon Lakes Adventure Village is just incredible! There are so many different activities to do, giving you the chance to be as active as you like on holiday. I love the karts and bike hire too – who knows if someone on holiday gets a taste for pedal power and a future Olympic champion is born at Hafan y Môr!”
Owain Doull, the first Welsh-speaking athlete to win Olympic gold, added: “It’s fantastic to see so many children feeling encouraged to get involved in new sports and activities in such a fun and exciting way. You can tell from their reactions that the variety of activities now on offer at Hafan y Môr really enhances their holiday experiences!”
Also open for guests and holiday home owners to enjoy is the brand-new Coast House bar and grill.
