Restaurants and cafés could open at Aberystwyth Marina after owners said they were in talks with Ceredigion planning officers.
The Marine and Property Group Ltd own the marina and Harbour House and have revealed they are looking to find additional tenants for the property.
That could include restaurants and cafés, as well as companies looking for office spaces.
The company itself has recently moved into Harbour House and have taken control of management of the building which it said could see new tenants.
Marina manager Jon Booth said the company was keen to see more companies become tenants and that talks were already taking place with the council’s planning department over enabling restaurants or cafés to move in.
He said: “Harbour House is a magnificent building with far reaching views over the marina and the sea beyond.
“We are keen to optimise this beautiful setting for more people to enjoy and are in discussions with the local planning office to include restaurant or cafe units on the ground floor to maximise the terrace area and add to the facilities available at the marina.”
When the marina was built, it had been proposed that a restaurant or cafe would be included in the plans, however that never happened.
But alongside the possibility of a restaurant or café opening as a tenant, Marine and Property Group director Chris Odling-Smee said the company was keen to identify possible new tenants for office accommodation.
