A CARDIGAN businessman has renewed his plea for signs directing visitors to a local industrial estate.
Frustrated Glyn Hyett first lobbied for signs for Parc Teifi well over a decade ago – but 12 years later he and fellow business owners are still waiting.
The latest request by Mr Hyett – managing director of 3PTechnik UK Ltd who harvest rainwater - was triggered by the recent experience of a trader who found herself hopelessly lost.
“She spent one hour looking for Parc Teifi, having ended up following the numerous and excellent signs directing everybody to the privately owned Pentood Industrial Estate,” he told the Cambrian News.
“She says that the only sign she saw was the sign for the police station which famously obscures the single main road sign indicating the presence of the elusive and mysterious ‘Parc Teifi Business Park’.
“I really think the Welsh Government have forgotten about Parc Teifi.
“I can’t believe there are other industrial estates in Wales with 100 employees who lack a suitable main road sign.
“Perhaps Parc Teifi should be renamed the Secret Squirrel Industrial Estate, given that it’s such a closely guarded secret?
“God forbid anyone does any business here and attempts to employs anyone...."
